We work with parents to help them develop a parenting plan that is in the best interest of their child or children. Consideration must be made for a child's age, developmental stage, needs, and any other circumstances required to individualize a parenting plan specific for each family. The overall objective of parenting coordination is to assist high conflict parents to implement their parenting plan, to monitor compliance with the details of the plan, to resolve conflicts regarding their children and the parenting plan in a timely manner, and to protect and sustain safe, healthy and meaningful parent-child relationships. Parents have the opportunity to learn effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills for improved communication. The ability to remain focused on the issues of importance is key for successful negotiations and a Parent Coordinator helps to keep discussions calm and focused. Parenting coordination is a mental health, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) process that combines assessment, education, case management, conflict management, and sometimes decision-making functions. The Parent Coordination process can be sought through mutual agreement or through an order from the court. The Parent Coordination process involves meeting with each parent, and at times, their child or children, in order to consider the needs of all family members in developing a parenting plan. Parents will meet for Parenting Coordination sessions weekly until an agreement can be reached. The Parenting Coordinator role is most frequently reserved for those high conflict parents who have demonstrated their longer-term inability or unwillingness to make parenting decisions on their own, to comply with parenting agreements and orders, to reduce their child-related conflicts, and to protect their children from the impact of that conflict. This process can help to save time and money. When parents develop a parenting plan together, it is reviewed with their attorneys and ultimately there is no need for a judge to decide how they will share their children. When parents do not have attorneys, the Parent Coordinator can be especially helpful in developing a parenting plan. No one knows your children better than you, so why not utilize the expertise of a Parent Coordinator to help make decisions towards an excellent plan to nurture your children's emotional growth and development during their most important years.

After divorce you will both be starting a new phase of your life. Whether you have children or not, this new phase can begin with a collaborative way to reach agreement in your divorce case. The philosophy of mediation is in direct contrast to hard-ball litigation tactics used by many family lawyers. Family law mediation has been called a win-win process. The family law mediation process allows you a forum for communicating with your spouse and solving the issues over which you disagree. As a neutral third party mediator, I assist you both in working out the details and reaching agreement in your divorce, cohabitation or modification family law case.

Our goal is to help you through this difficult time. In so doing, it is our approach to minimize the emotional damage, to maximize the preservation of your marital assets, and to allow you to enjoy financial security following your divorce. To achieve that goal, it is necessary to work together to prepare your case for either settlement or trial. Cases are settled because the other side knows that you will be well represented at trial. However, there is no need to deplete your assets and income in avoidable and/or unnecessary litigation. The overwhelming majority of our cases reach a satisfactory settlement.
My many years of experience representing people who are getting divorced have taught me that the greatest gift they can give to their children and to themselves is peace through the resolution of their case. Settled cases not only minimize difficulty for children, they also preserve the family's finances so that money can be used for the family's needs. That is why I am a mediator and a collaborative family law attorney.

Successful Unions, Inc. Counseling Centers grew out of a recognized need to deal with conflict and abuse within relationships in a systematic and organized manner. Coming from the philosophy that "Relationships can be learned", to provide education, counseling, and therapy accessible to those who desire it. Services include both individual and small group counseling for children, adolescents, and adults; we offer pre-marital counseling and divorce resolution counseling. Comprehensive seminars for business include anger management and stress management. Educational/Therapy groups include "Living with and Without Anger", "Overcoming shyness", "Stress Management and "Divorce Adjustments". The Florida State legislature acted upon this philosophy in their regular session by enacting a law that mandates a Parent Education and Family Stabilization course. The law recommends parents of divorce learn to become aware of the issues of the child during divorce. The "Pre-marital and Family Preservation Act" provides for a "cooling off" period between applying and receiving a marriage license. Groups and classes are open and ongoing and facilitated by Licensed and Certified Therapists. We also provide Anxiety Solutions Test Anxiety for children and adults who are anxious about taking exams.
Tampa Bay Mediation provides mediation, arbitration and consulting services to individuals, families, businesses and other parties who need intervention and support to resolve conflict. The Family Network, (TFN) Inc., Collaborative Counseling Center was established by Dr. Randy Heller in 1994. In forming TFN, Randy’s vision was to create an environment where people could safely and comfortably receive direction for managing life’s inevitable changes and challenges in a respectful and collaborative way. TFN provides comprehensive counseling services to diverse populations in need of direction. As the center’s director, Randy has been dedicating herself to assisting individuals, couples, families, and groups over the past 25 years. The Family Network is a place where families can find direction for navigating through the school system, the legal system, their work, social, and family systems. To that end, Dr. Heller utilizes an integrated, systemic approach to counseling; joining with and empowering people to define what works as well as what is not “working for them” in their lives. In doing so, clients will discover the possibilities for “making life work” as they identify their strengths, access their resources, tap into their own potential for success, and take action toward achieving their desired goals. Homepage thefamilynetwk@aol.com Phone number 954-236-4490 As a sub-specialty, Dr. Heller has unique education, training, and skills to guide families transitioning through divorce. In addition to her psychotherapy practice, she works as a Collaborative Divorce Facilitator, Co-parenting Specialist, Certified Family Mediator, Credentialed Parenting Coordinator, Reunification Specialist, and Social Investigator. In 2011, she researched and published her doctoral dissertation on this topic, wrote and teaches a course in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Collaborative Divorce to master's and doctoral students at Nova Southeastern University, and is co-director of a Pro Bono project in conjunction with Mission United/Legal Aid of Broward County in an effort to assist Veteran families going through divorce. Dr. Heller is very active in the divorce industry, facilitating amicable resolution among divorcing couples, and serving on several of the Boards of the many of the organizations statewide that focus on divorce. Dr. Heller strongly believes that engaging in these alternative approaches enables her to save future generations of children from the perils of divorce wars. What happens to divorcing couples in the middle of a pandemic? Where can parents go for help with co-parenting/time-sharing disputes when the courts are closed? Families are in crisis, and they don't know where to turn. Collaborative Practice is an internationally-recognized method created to help separated/divorcing couples, and parents manage divorce and child-related matters peacefully without the courts. I, along with many of my Collaborative Colleagues are working remotely and here to assist. Please e-mail or call me for more information.
